Barcelona Marathon -

The event originated in 1977 and has come on in leaps and bounds since. Today thousands of entrants form a fast-running stream right through the city, from the northern suburbs of Badalona to southern L'Hospitalet.

There are 14 water points lining the route and even a massage service and showers, as well as plenty of changing rooms at the finish line.
